Why Buckeye’s Verrado Way Development Could Evolve into a Dominant West Valley Commercial Hub

With nearly 50 acres of space, Verrado Marketplace, a $125 million power retail center set to open west of Phoenix, one of the largest projects of its kind in the area since 2008, is set to feature major anchors like Target, Safeway, and a Harkins BackLot entertainment complex. Situated at the northeast corner of Interstate 10 and Verrado Way, the center serves as an entrance to the Verrado master-planned community in Buckeye, one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. This location is expected to become a key development hub, with significant construction activity on all four corners of the bustling transportation intersection. Additionally, the area is poised for further retail growth, with plans for an additional 500,000 square feet of retail space south of I-10, along with major hospital campuses nearby. The project aims to fulfill the retail needs of Buckeye’s expanding population while establishing the area as a retail destination in the West Valley.
