The GEN1 at GSQ office building in Goodyear’s new downtown, GSQ, is now 60% leased about a year after its introduction, overcoming challenges posed by remote work trends and economic factors. The three-story office has secured nine leases, the largest being coworking operator Spaces, which took up 26,177 square feet. The building is part of Goodyear’s new City Hall area and is surrounded by planned amenities like shops, restaurants, and multifamily units. Historically, introducing class A office space in the West Valley was challenging, but this is evolving with new developments catering to the fast-growing population. Globe Corp., the developer, anticipates that GEN1 will be fully leased by 2024 as surrounding amenities are completed.
