A new 366,216 SF industrial project is being proposed in Phoenix near the Sky Harbor International Airport, spearheaded by the Trammell Crow Co. This project, located near the upcoming Arizona Fresh: Agri-Food Innovation Center, aims to bridge the gap between older industrial zones and neighboring residential areas. However, rezoning efforts faced a setback on August 8 when the South Mountain Village Planning Committee denied the proposal. In another development, north Phoenix’s Deer Valley area is seeing growth with a planned 70,000 SF facility and another two-warehouse project by Hawkeye Development. Overall, Phoenix’s industrial sector is booming, with the city leading the U.S. in construction projects, having nearly 60 million square feet of space underway.
