Phoenix-based Vestar has received final approvals to proceed with the Verrado Marketplace in Buckeye, a 520,000-square-foot power center anchored by Target, Safeway, and Harkins BackLot. Approved by Buckeye’s planning commission, the $275 million project will begin construction this fall and is slated to open in 2026. Additional confirmed tenants include Marshalls, Ross, and HomeGoods, with potential retailers like Victoria’s Secret and Ulta. Meanwhile, Buckeye Commons, another major development anchored by a newly opened Costco, is under construction and attracting major retailers like The Home Depot and Dick’s Sporting Goods. The area around Verrado Way and I-10 is becoming a key entrance to Buckeye, featuring significant retail and healthcare projects. By 2026, the Verrado area will add 1.5 million square feet of commercial space, bringing the total to over 3 million square feet.
