Mixed-Use Center Proposed in Burgeoning Mesa Corridor

A proposed mixed-use project could bring significant development to the northeast corner of Power and Elliot roads in Mesa. The project, on nearly 20 acres owned by the Saia family, aims to rezone 7.8 acres for luxury multi-residence housing and develop the remaining land into a shopping center. The center will feature two major tenants, three in-line shops, four pad sites, and restaurants with outdoor seating. The development is intended to provide needed services, such as sit-down dining, and address the housing crisis with luxury living near employment areas. The site plan includes a 30,000-square-foot retail anchor and a 12,000-square-foot junior anchor, with potential tenants like home decor retailers, restaurants, and coffee chains. The Saia family has owned the site since 2008, and the project is adjacent to other significant developments like Avalon Ranch and Morrison Ranch Commercial Center.
