Guests will need to wait until the end of 2025 to visit the Mattel Adventure Park in Arizona, which will feature attractions like Barbie’s Beach House and a Hot Wheels roller coaster. The operator, Epic Resort Destinations, has announced this delay as part of a broader expansion for the VAI Resort in Glendale. Initially slated to open by the end of 2024, the park is being developed to enhance hospitality, dining, and entertainment options at the resort. The Mattel Adventure Park will mark the first of its kind, with plans for a second location in Kansas City. The entire VAI Resort will span nearly 70 acres and include hotel rooms, an amphitheater, fine dining, retail, and more. Additionally, a vote on updated zoning and a development agreement is scheduled for Glendale City Council on November 26.
