Edged Energy Starts Construction on Southeast Mesa Data Center Campus

Edged Energy is developing a 12-acre, 210,000-square-foot data center campus in Mesa, Arizona, expected to be completed by late 2025. The facility, located near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, will provide 36 megawatts of power to support high-density artificial intelligence and digital data processing, using water-free cooling technology to address local water scarcity. Mesa has emerged as a key hub for data centers, with major companies like Google, Meta, and Amazon building or planning similar facilities. In total, 14.8 million square feet of data center space are planned or under construction in Mesa. Edged Energy’s project is part of a broader national expansion, with data centers also being developed in cities like Atlanta, Chicago, and Dallas. Arizona’s data center boom reflects the region’s growing role in supporting the digital economy while focusing on sustainability.
